How the Name of Jesus Works

Many Christians use Jesus’ name without knowing it’s significance. This study explains how “Jesus’ name” works in receiving miracles. This is an important study.

Gospel of Kingdom of God

This study discusses man and the kingdom of God. In order to receive miracles regularly, it is important to know the gospel of the kingdom of God well. This is an important study.

The Work We Do

This study introduces John 14:12, 1 John 3:8, and John 10:10 as our work to do. This sets God’s will for man and sets the broader context for man obtaining miracles and obtaining them faster.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

Our faith is essential to receive from God.  (See the studies “Bible Miracles Explained,” “What Jesus Means by Faith,” “G154 To Call For,” and “Gospel of Kingdom of God.”)  1 Timothy 6:12 (below) says that faith is a fight.  Since it is our faith that brings us miracles, our faith fight is important.  In a fight, we can win or lose.  If Aaron and Hur had not shot that rod back up, the Israelites would have been slaughtered (Exodus 17:8-13).  It is no fun to be like the seven sons of Sceva (Acts 19:13-16), nor to be like Peter who wobbled while walking on water, earning Jesus’ comment of “ye of little faith” (Matthew 14:22-32).

Prayer Authority

This take-along study is to help one to believe one receives when one does faith.  Since it draws upon other studies, read the basic studies first.  It may be renamed “Faith in Jesus’ Name” in the future.

Not Perish

Because Jesus charged us (the body of Christ) to undo the devil’s work, the devil may fight back.  Jesus equipped the church (the body of Christ) with the same tools God equipped Jesus with: God’s Word, the name of Jesus, the Spirit of God, and power (Acts 1:8, 10:38).  Our “faith” that moves God’s power/brings miracles depends on our learning God’s Word and putting God’s Word in our heart (Romans 10:17, John 15:7, John 8:31-32, Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 4:20-22).  The devil counters by distracting us from God’s Word (Mark 4:11-20) and by buffeting us (2 Corinthians 12:7-9).  However, we, the body of Christ, win against the devil’s work, if we continue to put God’s Word in our heart to make our “faith” strong (Romans 10:17, John 15:7, John 8:31-32, Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 4:20-22) and to do “faith” to undo the devil’s work (1 John 3:8, John 14:12, 1 John 4:4, Mark 16:17-18, Mark 11:22-24).  [See the studies “Bible Miracles Explained,” “What Jesus Means by Faith,” “Gospel of Kingdom of God,” “Prayer Authority,” and “Fight the Good Fight of Faith.”]

Paul Prayers

The Bible gives us Paul’s examplary prayers in Ephesians 1:16-23, Ephesians 2:5-6, Ephesians 3:14-20, and Colossians 1:9-11.  Paul continually prayed these faith statements (Mark 11:24 statements) for the body of Christ (church).  They show us God’s will for Christians and remind us these prayers of faith (James 5:15), just as Jesus did in the Lord’s Prayer (Luke 11:1-4).  Lastly, they conform to 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18.  Therefore, it would benefit us to continually pray these for Christians, our family and ourselves.  I added the name of Jesus because Jesus always spoke Mark 11:23 statements with authority (Mark 11:14; 11:22-24) and because Jesus gave us his name/authority to use (Luke 10:17-19, Acts 3:6; 3:16; 16:18, Mark 16:17-18, 1 John 3:8, John 14:12).
